Welcome to Sheetio! These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the Sheetio Android app ("Sheetio", "the app"), made by appalloo ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Using Sheetio
Sheetio is a viewer for spreadsheet files (XLSX, XLSM, XLS, ODS, CSV and TSV). You may use it to open, read, search, print and share files that you have the right to access. You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with how it works, or use it for anything unlawful.
2. A viewer, not an editor
Sheetio displays spreadsheets but does not edit them, so it never changes your files. Please keep in mind:
- Sheetio does not calculate formulas. It shows the results saved in the file, so a value may be out of date if the file was saved without recalculating. If no result was saved, Sheetio shows the formula itself.
- Password-protected files open when you enter their password, but a few rarely used encryption types, such as LibreOffice's newer whole-file encryption, can't be opened yet. Charts and images inside workbooks are not shown.
- Very large files may be shown only in part, or may not open, depending on your device's memory.
- Some formatting may look different from the program that created the file.
Always check important figures, such as financial, medical or legal data, in the original file or in the program that created it before relying on them.
3. Price
Sheetio is free to download and use. It has no ads, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
4. Your files
- Your files belong to you. Sheetio opens them on your device and we never receive them.
- You are responsible for the files you open and share, and for keeping your own copies of anything important.
- Private copies kept for the recent files list are deleted when you remove a file from the list, clear the list or uninstall the app.
5. Privacy
Sheetio does not collect any data and has no internet access. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how the app handles your files.
6. Third-party services
When you share a file, print it, save it as PDF or open Google Play from the app, the app, printer or service you choose handles it under its own terms and policies. We are not responsible for those services.
7. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, code, graphics and name, belongs to appalloo and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute any part of the app without our written permission, except as allowed by law. Open-source components included in the app are licensed under their own licenses, listed in the app's About screen.
Microsoft Excel is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Sheetio is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC.
8. Disclaimers
Sheetio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will open every file, display every file exactly as the program that created it does, be error-free, or be suitable for every purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, appalloo is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decisions made or losses suffered based on how a file was displayed, arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the app changes. The effective date at the top shows when they were last updated. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
